Many creationists claim that there is no real evidence of evolution. Creationists also seem to think that the claimed evidence is limited to fossil finds. Can you give a brief listing of the multiple and varied forms of evidence all pointing back to and corroborating evolution?

Want to know why people accept evolution ?
by snare&racket indo you have questions about or want to understand evolution?
it is a difficult concept to communicate and so if it is not explained well , it is understandable that we would dismiss it.. i sincerely want to talk with people who want to learn more or see what all the fuss is about.
we are all learning and increasing our knowledge all the time and it is good to go over facts with critical eye.. evolution we can discuss, looking at the foundational facts and evidence, one at a time for you to go and check, agree or disagree with and return.. no pressure to accept it, you can decide for yourself, also no mocking etc of what you have to say.. .

Easy to believe the FDS gets direction from God if you do this. Did you?
by Wasanelder Once inok how many of you while a jw took the advice to pray on a problem and then open the bible and start reading.
did you seem to get "just the right scripture" that answered your prayer?
they encouraged that where i was.

The bible is such a big book and the contents so varied, that a person can easily read solutions to his current problems into just about any verse. Have you ever listened to some of the comments made during bible highlights? Some of the applications made are definite non-sequitors being read into the scripture. There is nothing more disgusting than a brother missapplying scripture to try to squeeze a predetermined bit of counsel out of a verse that has absolutely nothing to do with the counsel he's giving.

I need help! Talk coming up and I need ideas fast!
by BU2B inomg i am so distressed.
i have a talk coming up on tuesday, it is the number 3 "abiram.
why opposing god appointed authority is tantamount to opposing god himself"!.

You did it!
You said most didn't even seem to be affected by it. Well consider your talk an experiment that proves how braindead the typical, dependent-thinking JW actually is.

I call pareidolia.
Of all the accussations I've heard levelled against Watchtower, subliminal images have got to be the least credible and most conspiracy theory-esque. I think subliminal images claims only hurt the credibility of the apostates who make them.

what is the best line to say to a JW handing you an invite to the memorial
by nonjwspouse ini have some ideas, but want more to choose from..

Good one ablebodiedman. It works best if you have a copy of C.T.Russel's 'The time is at hand' and you read Luke 21:8 from the ESV or ASV which says not to go after those saying "the time is at hand' - the exact title of C.T. Russel's book!

Me: "Did Jesus die so that all who exercise faith in the ransom can have eternal life?"
JW: "Yes"
Me: "Do you accept and exercise faith in, Jesus' ransom sacrifice?"
JW: "Yes"
Me: "Now this memorial that you're inviting me to - is it a memorial of the establishment of a covenant with 144,000 persons; or is it a memorial of Jesus sacrificial death establishing a new covenant that will benefit everyone exercising faith in his sacrifice? What does 1 Corinthians 11:26 say? Does it say it's a proclamation of an exclusive covenant with only 144,000 partakers? Or does it say it's a proclamation of Jesus' death?"
JW: "It's a proclamation of his death, but Jesus also said the wine represents the new covenant by virtue of his blood, so only those in new covenant should partake."
Me: "Yes Jesus' death is the basis for a new covenant - a covenant that results in everlasting life for everyone who exercises faith, including even those who will live on a paradise earth according to your interpretation of the bible. Am I right?"
JW: "Well, yes but . . ."
Me: "What did Jesus say about the bread? Did he say anything about a new covenant when mentioning the bread?"
JW: "No"
Me: "So if the bread represents his body which he gave up for all those exercising faith and he never mentioned the new covenant with reference to the bread, then you can't make any claim from scripture that only those directly in the new covenant are to partake of the bread. So why aren't all JWs at least partaking of the bread in acceptance of Jesus giving up his sinless body on their behalf? According to your beliefs, did Jesus die only for the direct participants in the new covenant; or did he die for all christians who exercise faith in him regardless whether their hope his heavenly or earthly?"
